Derry City Football Club players recently participated in a heartwarming event to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Hive Cancer Support. On May 20th, six players from Derry City, along with two members from the Derry City Women’s Team, attended a meet and greet at the Gasyard Centre. This event allowed local families to connect with their sporting heroes and celebrate a significant milestone for the charity. The players included Patrick McClean, James Clarke, Eddie Beach, Conor Barr, Shea Callister, Terence Doherty, Katie Hargan, and Rihanna Ferris. Maureen Collins, Project Manager at Hive Cancer Support, expressed gratitude for the players' participation, noting how special it was for families to interact with these inspirational athletes. The long-standing relationship between Derry City FC and Hive Cancer Support was highlighted, with past collaborations including special jerseys and choir performances at Derry City matches. Collins emphasized the importance of community support and thanked everyone involved for making the day a success.
