Derry City History
Derry City is one of Ireland's most traditional and popular football clubs. Founded in 1928 in Derry (Londonderry), the club plays its home matches at the historic The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium and competes in the League of Ireland Premier. Known as The Candystripes, it has built over a century of rich history — trophies, iconic players, and unforgettable moments. Its passionate fanbase, one of the most devoted in the country, maintains one of the fiercest local rivalries with Finn Harps. Currently managed by T.
